Miniatures for UK/Europe Backers have Shipped!
over 5 years ago – Wed, Dec 19, 2018 at 08:28:01 PM

Greetings Delvers!

Chris and the crew at Macrocosm have sent the last boxes of miniatures off on their merry way to backers all over the UK and Europe. If you’re one of the last on the list for this Kickstarter, I thank you for your patience. You will have your miniatures soon! I would also like to congratulate Macrocosm on their new workshop. It looks very shiny!

Here in New Zealand it's been a huge year for my humble little miniature company. There certainly have been challenges and I wouldn’t have got here without your amazing support. Thank you for backing Law Vs Chaos. I really appreciate the messages of support and photos of painted miniatures. It’s great to know these miniatures are taking part in adventures on gaming tables around the world!

Apart from my family role as "UberDad", my regular gig is teaching music. A local pre-school employs me to teach their 4 year olds ukulele and this year they invited me to their staff Christmas party... at Hobbiton! Sometimes I can forget the wonders that are in my own neighborhood. I couldn't resist posing for this photo. Perhaps one day I will build my own Hobbit hole.

It’s important for me to recognise the skill and expertise of everyone involved with this Kickstarter campaign and the production of the latest Star Hat range. I tend to do this a lot - thanking people - so please know that my gratitude is genuinely heart felt despite my repetition on various updates!

From the beginning, Star Hat exists because of my good friends Lewis Morgan, Grant Stone and Romilly Brown. The incredible generosity of sculptors Anton Ducrot and Gary Hunt, offering their own figurines and expert advice. Ian and Allan Farley (Regal Toy Soldiers), John Popson (Effin Cool), and Chris Nicholls (Macrocosm) for taking the original greens and turning them into metal and resin miniatures for YOU to enjoy.

It’s summer in New Zealand and I will be celebrating Christmas at the beach with my beloved wife and daughters (and our dog). We are grateful for those who will join us and for the treasured memories of those who are no longer with us. I hope this festive season is a safe and peaceful one for you, your family and friends.

Merry Christmas and God bless!

Effin Cool Resin Arrives in NZ
over 5 years ago – Fri, Dec 07, 2018 at 01:11:43 AM

Greetings Delvers!

Boxes of resin from Effin Cool arrive at Star Hat.

Two boxes of Effin Cool resin arrived at Star Hat this week and I quickly packed the last few packages for backers from New Zealand and Australia. Another box of resin will arrive at Macrocosm soon for the UK and EU backers.

Although it's really out of my hands now, I have done my best to get everyone their miniatures before Christmas. There have been delays at Effin Cool but I believe these have now been addressed. From what I understand, the last US/Canada packages were shipped December 3rd from Ohio.

If you're still waiting for your miniatures, I thank you for your patience.

Greetings Delvers!

Around 6am I received a call from John Popson (Effin Cool Miniatures, Ohio) to confirm that the packages for all American and Canadian backers have left the building! The resin miniatures for UK/EU and NZ/AUS backers are also on their way to England and New Zealand for final distribution.

A huge thanks to John and his crew. There have been a few obstacles to be overcome along the way but with any luck, everyone will have their boxes by Christmas!

Blessings,
