My hope is that these will be shipping in November. As you can see, the detail is incredible - they will look fantastic painted up and on the gaming table!

Speaking of painting, it’s the last 24 hours to take advantage of the free shipping code for the Brushes of Doom painting competition at Star Hat Miniatures.

Enjoy your gaming this weekend!

Which reminds me... does anyone here know Alan?

Alan is an early backer (#7) from Newtown, CT... but I need a more detailed postal address to ship the miniatures! If you know Alan, please pass on this message.

Also, only one month before entries close for the Brushes of Doom Painting Competition at Star Hat Miniatures! I hope you get yours in time to give it a go!

Happy gaming!

Goregasm Arena by Jason Fairclough
over 5 years ago – Wed, Oct 24, 2018 at 02:31:36 AM

Greetings Delvers!

I may have shared with you already my love for miniatures and gaming? Star Hat Miniatures was born out of that love and encouragement from my friends. My good mate Lewis had been running games of Wasteman and collecting the fantastic Jason Fairclough miniatures. They represent larger than life characters, the survivors in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. I was immediately struck with their wacky coolness. It was while holding one of Jason's miniatures that Lewis said to me, "You could sculpt a miniature..." - and look what happened!

Jason has become a good friend since then. He's another struggling artist, doing his best to make cool stuff and share it with as many gamers as possible. We couldn't do it without the Kickstarter community - that's you folks!

We have been play-testing the game here and it's a whole lotta fun! If you've got a spare dollar, head over to Jason's Goregasm Arena Kickstarter (if you haven't already) and show him some love.

Enjoy your gaming!

The Troubadour and the Dwarvenaut
over 5 years ago – Sat, Oct 20, 2018 at 05:10:28 PM

Greetings Delvers!

It's been delightful following the adventures of Stefan Pokorny (aka the Dwarvenaut) over the last week as he met with Johnny and the Tabletop Troubadour crew at Weta Workshop in New Zealand. They also took him on a tiki tour around some of the film locations for The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, including Hobbiton. At one point Stefan was 5 mins from my house! Yes.. I am a fan.

As you can see, a very special friendship has developed through a shared love of our hobby. If you haven't checked it out, although I am sure you have by now, head over to Johnny's "Hagglethorn Hollow" Kickstarter.

Speaking of sculpting and friends, my mate Rom Brown (Whippersnapper Artworkz and Cult of Game) has speedily painted up one of the delvers, Nanook!

I am hoping everyone will get their miniatures in time to enter the Brushes of Doom painting competition. The final date for entries is December 1st.

Enjoy your gaming!

First Boxes Shipped + UK/US Production + Barrel-rider visits NZ
over 5 years ago – Sun, Oct 14, 2018 at 09:22:09 PM

Greetings Delvers!

The first boxes have been shipped from New Zealand to backers in New Zealand and Australia. There are still six kiwi and aussie orders to fulfill, which will happen as soon as the resin figurines arrive from Effin Cool - casting of those is scheduled for this week...

The spin casting of the metal miniatures will also begin soon: The metal masters have arrived in the US and UK - the metal masters have been delivered to Effin Cool (Ohio, US) and the package for Macrocosm are being "Held for Clearance" in Coventry, United Kingdom.

With production well underway and some time on my hands, I have cracked open the old pots of paint and the brush of doom!

I am hoping everyone will get their miniatures in time to enter the Brushes of Doom painting competition. The prize bundle is growing. Some early entries have already arrived by email, although the final date is December 1st.

There was some excitement this week as a famous Dungeoneer, Stefan Pokorny aka The Dwarvenaut, visited Weta Workshop and Hobbiton (not far from where I live!) on an adventure that may or may not have something to do with Johnny's "Hagglethorn Hollow" Kickstarter...
