Project Timeline: One Week Until Lockdown

Greetings Delvers!

Apparently everyone needs deadlines? Often I work to them frantically from the sculpting table, making sure I get creative ideas expressed with putty before it hardens!

Right now I'd like to encourage you to complete your backer survey so I can concentrate my attention towards getting you your pledge rewards.  Each Delvers Lost in the Dungeons of Doom Kickstarter campaign has been different but this is the first time I have used Backerkit and I must say I am impressed.

I have also enjoyed the responses to the opening question - although I am sorry I couldn't make it optional for those that wanted to get straight onto the add-ons. Thank you for letting me know what you'd like to see more of in future campaigns.

The timeline above will give you an idea of the lockdown date for the backer surveys, when your cards will be charged, and when shipping will begin.

Macrocosm Plug: Old Salt Pirate Rats!

Greetings Delvers!

With almost half of the backer surveys completed through, Law Vs Chaos is looking great! Thank you to everyone taking the opportunity to purchase add-ons through Backerkit. Note: this is the last chance to buy Anton's giants, as they won't be available after this Kickstarter. 

On a smaller scale... some rats have boarded the ship! Chris Nicholls from Macrocosm has launched Old Salt Pirate Rats! on Kickstarter...

This is a fantastic range of 28mm Rat Men cast in metal. There are also a variety of other pirates and fishy creatures available in metal and resin, so I encourage you to take a look.

We Are Sending Backerkit Surveys!

Greetings Delvers,

Beginning today, the backer surveys will be sent out, so keep an eye on your email inboxes. You will receive an email from Backerkit, with a link to your backer survey. 

Special Note: Switch Pledge Level

If you want to switch to a different pledge level, you have to do so on the first page of the backer survey.

I have had many requests to Level Up - especially from backers who Want It All. If you want to change your pledge level, click on “switch pledge level” under the large green “Get Started” button.You can ONLY do this before you Get Started!

If you choose to switch pledge level, you will get a pop-up window similar to the one below:

In my example above, changing from Lords of Law to Champions of Chaos, there won't be a difference in the pledge amount. However, I would be asked to pay the difference if I switched to a higher pledge, like Epic Hero, Doomsday or I Want It All.

When you are certain you have the pledge level you want, click on "Get Started" and see if there are any Add-Ons you would like to purchase, enter your Shipping Address details and Confirm your information.

I hope it's easy for you to get everything you want but if you have any issues, please let me know so we can sort them out as soon as possible.

The Last Greens + Smoke Test

Greetings Delvers!

I am excited that the last of my sculpts are being prepared for drop casting at Regal Enterprises. Below you can see the original greens pressed firmly into plasticine. This is an important part of the silicon mould making process required to make the metal masters (which will be used to make production moulds).

 So... what's a Smoke Test? Well, it's part of the BackerKit review for the pledge reward surveys. Some backers of Law Vs Chaos will receive an email from BackerKit this week and this will confirm that the Backer Survey is working properly.

Painting Competition: Brushes of Doom!

Greetings Delvers,

When I began collecting and painting miniatures for role-playing and tabletop games, White Dwarf was the magazine filled with all manner of goodies, including new figurines. That was back in the 80's and to be honest, White Dwarf changed it's focus but I have many treasured magazines from that golden era - and they continue to inspire me! One of the things that hasn't changed is my love for cool miniatures and the way paint can bring them to life. 

Lately I have been blown away by the love folks the world over have shown for my humble sculpts. To celebrate the two year anniversary (time flies when you're having fun!) of Star Hat Miniatures, I have decided to run a painting competition, for painters of all ages and skill levels.

Brushes of Doom! 2018
